Transport for London have produced a number of maps of the charging zone and how
to avoid it on the eastern and western edges:
The Congestion Charge operates between:
- Monday to Friday, excluding English public holidays
- 07:00 - 18:30
Days between Christmas Day and New Year's Day inclusive are designated
non-charging days, and therefore payment of the Charge on these days is not
required.
- ₤8.00: Payment by midnight on the day of travel into the zone
- ₤10.00: Payment by midnight on the day after travel into the zone
- ₤100.00: Fine incurred after failure to pay the Charge
- ₤50.00: Redused fine, if original is paid within 14 days
Discounts and exemptions to the Charge are avilable to residents of the zone,
blue badge holders, owners of certain vehicles, and certain professions. More
